First Start Reading Book A Sample

In First Start Reading Book A, we have our students spend time covering their short vowels. Whether through tracing, drawing, or even rhyming, our students will not only solidify what they are learning, but they will also have fun doing so!

First Start Reading is a complete phonics course that focuses on 3 important skills:

• Pencil grip & correct letter formation
• Mastering one sound
• Mastering short and long vowel sounds, 3-letter words, consonant blends, long vowel teams, soft c and g, three sounds of y, and 67 common words.

First Start Reading Book B Sample

In First Start Reading Book B, we have our students continue to work on learning the short vowels which began in First Start Reading Book A. Students will solidify short vowels in their mind by completing various assignments such as tracing, drawing, and writing.

First Start Reading Book C Sample

In First Start Reading Book C, our students will finish their time working with short vowels with various exercises such as drawing, tracing, and writing.

First Start Reading Book D Sample

In  First Start Reading Book D, we have our students move on to working on long vowels, silent e, and consonant blends. As the students work through this book, they will complete various exercises such as drawing illustrations, matching, coloring, and more!

First Start Reading Book E Sample

In First Start Reading Book E, we complete the program by covering long vowel teams, soft c and g, and the three sounds of y. Once the student has mastered the basic phonics in the FSR series, he is ready to continue his reading progress with real literature.
