Exploring the World of Science
We love John H. Tiner’s illustrated science books for middle school students – Exploring the World of Science. He writes from a biblical perspective and has won numerous awards for his books on science for young people. They are excellent introductions to the people and places central to the planet earth, medicine, chemistry, mathematics, and physics. These illustrated books have review questions and activities after every chapter. Also, Memoria Press has added supplemental review questions to each chapter, tests, and final exam for each Tiner textbook.
Memoria Press’ award-winning Science curriculum is designed to introduce students to the world of nature by studying the things it is made of – birds, insects, trees, mammals, heavenly bodies – and by giving a narrative account of the development of the sciences. We encourage students to read widely in science and to learn more by exploring the wide world around them. Cheryl Lowe, our founder, always emphasized the importance of science and its place in classical education. Her memory and example continue to daily inform the mission and vision of Memoria Press.
