In The Caboose Who Got Loose, Bill Peet tells the story of Katy Caboose in a rollicking rhyme. Katy Caboose is unhappy with her life at the end of the train full of bumps and jolts and billowing smoke. She envies the things she sees passing through the countryside and longs to be like a barn in a field or a cabin alone in the woods.
