Simply wonderful! The illustrations are vibrant and captivating and the stories are just enough to offer insight and familiarity with these great men of Rome! The vocabulary is for older students, but with a little explanation young readers/listeners can glean quite a bit from this collection. We bought it to accompany the “Story of the Word Volume 1” as young student has nearly memorized it and wanted to learn more about Rome specifically. We LOVE this book!! The only thing that could be any better, would be an audio book version!!
