Product Description
We’ve made science interesting with the creation of our Mammals set. The study guide your student will work through using The World of Mammals as the primary text, alongside What Is the Animal Kingdom? and What Is a Mammal? Students will study rodents, elephants, primates, marsupials, and much more! In addition to answering comprehension questions, students will also learn by drawing the animals they are studying. The Teacher Guide includes quizzes and tests.
Watch as your student learns an in-depth amount of information as they journey through the set on mammals.

My 11 year old daughter loves to learn about any animal. She used an online reading program for two of the books. She likes to do the drawing sections the most. She reads the lesson and then finds the answers in the books. She struggles with spelling so I allow her to use the teacher guide. We used this like copy work. She has rattled off information out of the blue; while we are driving in the car, or just sitting around the house. Definitely 5 stars. Thank you!

Wonderful Mammals program. My oldest loves animals. She really enjoyed this program and now hat we are finished she likes to learn more about it on her own. Also, its very well put together. Easy to teach as lesson plans are basically written out for you. Just over all a great way to study animals. Lots to work with for different age groups too.

I used this curriculum for my 4th grader this year. It has been a thorough and rewarding study for her. She is constantly referencing her knowledge of mammals whenever they come up. This is part of of the 3rd grade core for Memoria Press, however, I would say it is appropriate for a very advanced or older 3rd grader, or a 4th grader. There is a lot of writing. My 4th grader loves to write, but I would pick and choose the questions I wanted her to complete. And I would always include the drawing because it forces the child to look at details. It makes for a really cute notebook at the end of the year. If you don’t have a lot of writing in other portions of your curriculum, then it would be great practice. But Memoria Press has quite a bit of writing, so I pared this one down. It didn’t take away from it at all.
The What is a Kingdom study could probably have been extended over a couple weeks’ worth of work. It was a lot to digest for someone who has never studied that topic before.
The Mammals textbooks is so well done! I find my child pulling it out to peruse it a lot. Really enjoyable!
I will be using this again as my 2nd grader moves into 3rd grade, however I may be doing more oral narration using the questions in the guide, rather than all the writing.
