Nature’s Beautiful Order Text
Nature’s Beautiful Order contains selections from classical naturalists, all the way back to Aristotle, and up to modern naturalists such as John James Audubon.
This reader focuses on observations of the natural world by classic naturalists as far back as that first naturalist, Aristotle. Starting with a general sketch of “What Is an Animal?” it progresses onto a new and various animals such as lobsters, deer, pigs, and many others. It makes for a wonderful introduction to the study of biology for middle school students.
