Verdi by Janell Cannon tells the story of Verdi, a small, yellow python who does not want to grow up and be big, slow, lazy, and rude like the green grownup pythons he meets. No matter how Verdi tries to avoid it, his skin continues to turn green. The silly little snake finally comes to terms with his greenness and realizes that he can be himself no matter what color he is!
