Pumpkin Moonshine

In Pumpkin Moonshine by Tasha Tudor, Sylvie Ann is visiting her grandparents and wants to make a pumpkin moonshine (or jack-o’lantern) for Halloween. She goes out to the field and finds the biggest pumpkin she can. It’s so big she can’t even pick it up! However, when she starts rolling it, she has a hard time getting it to stop. Though the pumpkin makes a bit of a mess, all ends well, and Sylvie Ann gets a pumpkin moonshine just like she wanted. The colorful illustrations of two-time Caldecott Honor artist Tasha Tudor sweetly depict the story of little Sylvie Ann and her Halloween pumpkin.
