All the while, every time he tells a lie his nose grows longer and longer, displaying his deception for all the world to see.

Carlo Collodi was an Italian author and journalist. The first chapter of his classic Pinocchio appeared in the Giornale dei bambini (“Children’s Magazine”) in 1881 and was an immediate success.
