The British Tradition I: Poetry, Prose, & Drama from the Old English & Medieval Periods Student Guide introduces students to poems from the Anglo-Saxon Invasion to the Tudor Accession (449-1485). The Student Guide contains notes and instructions to the student, definitions of basic features, and an explanation of how to mark a book as well as pre-reading questions, reading notes, words to be defined, comprehension questions, Socratic discussion questions, and essay prompts. The answers, tests, and test key are contained in the Teacher Guide. The poems can be found in The British Tradition I: Poetry, Prose, & Drama from the Old English & Medieval Periods. Upper-School student books are now in a smaller, non-consumable format. The format of these guides helps older students transition away from a workbook mentality and prepares them for college classes by teaching them to take their own notes and glean information from lectures, class discussions, and the text.
