We have always been fans of Susan Wise Bauer’s Story of the World series, but we never seemed able to find room for it in our curriculum in the past. We recently came up with the great idea of adding it as a supplement to our Classical Core packages for summer reading!

Suggested Summer Reading Sequence:

Volume 1: summer before 5th grade
Volume 2: summer before 6th grade
Volume 3: summer before 7th grade
Volume 4: summer before 8th grade

Each volume fits perfectly as an overview to the time period students will be studying in the coming year (either in Classical or American/Modern Studies).
