I relied on this book for guidance every day. I am thankful for all the work that must have gone into putting it together! My favorite thing about this book is that it ties together multiple subjects, recitation facts, and enrichment activities into weekly themes, reinforcing it and enabling the child to pursue it from different angles, which seems so natural. For example, on Week 21, we read a bible story relating to bread, read a book about a bread-maker, learned about the science of bread-making, and made bread at home. The jewel in the crown for us was to learn the verse “I am the bread of life” the following week to remind us of how our bread points us to Jesus in our everyday life.

This is such a well thought out curriculum manual! All of Memoria’s teacher manuals are! It makes it so easy to go the night before school and pick out what you are going to need for the next day. Everything flows so well together. I enjoy that there is a theme for each week. I also love lists so being able to check things off as you get them done is nice!

I love the curriculum manuals, but I really wish there was a PDF version available for purchase because I lost mine and wanted to just print it off.

I absolutely love the Memoria Press curriculum. I have been searching high and low the last few years for the right curriculum and I am so glad that I came across Memoria Press! I wanted a classical curriculum that was comprehensive and open-and-go, so this curriculum manual fits me perfectly! I have no interest in piecing together different curriculum pieces myself, so this was at the top of my priority list. I agree with the other reviewers in that the weekly themes are wonderful for the learning child -all the various subjects tie together and I don’t have to do that legwork myself! The comprehensiveness of this curriculum is excellent: we do the full kindergarten curriculum and it touches on all areas a child should be exposed to, including classical music and fine art! Yes, there are a lot of “pieces” to the curriculum, but it is super easy to manage as the curriculum manual tells you what you need to use each day for each subject (I have them all in 2 baskets right in front of us on our school table, so I just grab what piece we need when we need it). Highly recommend!
