Written by Cheryl Lowe (author of the best-selling Latina Christiana), First Form and its sister Latin products have been used by more than 100,000 students across the world to learn Latin! First Form’s grammar-first approach focuses on grammar forms and vocabulary because these are the skills suitable for the grammar stage student. All beginners—regardless of age—are in the grammar stage of learning. Syntax (how to use the grammar) and translation are logic and rhetoric stage skills, respectively, and quickly overwhelm the student unless introduced at a slow, gentle pace and taught for mastery. First Form is the ideal text for all beginners, grades 5 & up, or is a great follow-up to Latina Christiana at any age. Now every school and homeschool can have a truly successful Latin program that creates Latin scholars instead of Latin drop-outs.
Based on twenty years of teaching experience, this revolutionary "grammar-first" series will be your guide as you and your students successfully climb the mountain of Latin Grammar all the way to the top! The uniqueness of the Forms Series lies in two features: (1) Commitment to the trivium model of teaching grammar systematically in order to facilitate retention and understanding, rather than topically, to facilitate translation; and (2) Extensive workbook exercises to ensure skills mastery and rapid recognition of inflected forms.
Lingua Angelica I Student Workbook Sample
“Christian Latin is infinitely easier to read than classical authors, so why would you start anywhere else?”
Lingua Angelica is an excellent Christian Latin reading and translation course. By using Latin hymns and prayers with simple sentences and clearer word structure than most Latin literature, this course is the ideal starting point for beginning Latin translation. The Student Workbook provides vocabulary, space for interlinear translation, and grammar word study exercises. Lingua Angelica covers 24 beautiful hymns sung by a six-voice Gregorian chant choir. All 4 Latin prayers and 12 of the Latin hymns are covered in Lingua Angelica I. (Additional hymns are covered in Lingua Angelica II.)

In Classical Composition II: Narrative, students continue to build invention skills as well as the ability to engage the imagination of an audience. They master the structures of thought that originate narratives and learn to create recognition by using figures of description. They develop the ability to communicate the same idea using a variety of words, sentence structures, and various perspectives.
This study guide will help students retain the knowledge they gained in their study of States & Capitals by reviewing each region of the U.S. four times throughout the school year. This review takes very little time and makes a great companion to Geography I: The Middle East, North Africa, and Europe.
Geography I: The Middle East, North Africa, & Europe Student Workbook covers the area that constituted the ancient Roman Empire. Each region is explored in its historical context in “History’s Headlines,” as well as in the present in “Tour of Today.” Your student will learn countries and capitals of today and relate them to the ancient lands of the Greeks and Romans, deepening his understanding of both the past and the present.
This additional copybook in our series includes the memory passages students memorize in the Memoria Press Christian Studies II course. It teaches penmanship, basic grammar, spelling, literature, accuracy, attention to detail, and memorization—all through the simple skill of copying. Not only do we want our students to form beautiful letters, we want them to copy beautiful words. We have selected Scripture from the King James Bible (chosen for its poetic verse). Our Copybooks are simple, clean, and focused on the task at hand. You won’t find meaningless color illustrations strewn throughout our pages. The font size in Copybook Cursive III is college-ruled for older students continuing their copywork practice.

English Grammar Recitation II Student Workbook, Second Edition Sample
English Grammar Recitation II is tied specifically to the grammar taught in First Form Latin and covers 36 additional grammar rules, as well as expanding on capitalization and punctuation rules taught in English Grammar Recitation I.
Brief exercises, including some diagramming, do accompany these grammar questions; however, the mastery of the English grammar catechism is the primary goal of this course, not its application. English Grammar Recitation also covers capitalization and punctuation through recitation. Students recite the rules and demonstrate their correct use through dictation of model sentences. It is hoped that this course can be completed in much less time than the typical English grammar course, leaving more time for composition and Latin.
Required supplement: English Grammar Recitation is unique because it is consistent with the trivium stages of learning. It emphasizes memorization of facts first as the necessary preparation for the logic-level skills of diagramming and analysis. It covers common capitalization and punctuation rules, and approximately 150 grammar facts in a logical and systematic sequence. English Grammar Recitation is a comprehensive list of all the grammar facts covered in our English Grammar Recitation program.
