Description:
A 12-week course covering units 3-5 of Latin: First Year,
by Robert J. Henle (Henle Latin). This course is designed either
as a regular class for students wanting to complete Middle School
Latin II (Henle, Units 3-5) or as an independent study course
for students who wish to jump from the middle school Latin track
to the high school track. A student taking Middle School Henle
Latin, Units 1-2 the previous year will cover Units 3-5 in this
course and be prepared to take High School Henle Latin II, Units
6-14 the succeeding fall. The regular class contains all the components
of a regular class, including the weekly class with a live teacher.
The independent study option includes all the components of a
regular course with the exception of the weekly chat time with
a teacher: the student receives a syllabus, online quizzes, a
question and answer forum for assistance with course material,
and a 24/7 virtual report card for parents to keep track of student
work.

Content Covered: Coverage of the four different
Latin verbs in the active voice in all six tenses and additional
nouns of the first and second declensions, as well as personal
pronouns. Short readings on Christian and Roman history will also
be presented.
