Description: Senior Thesis involves in depth reading and discussion
of a significant text of literature, philosophy or theology.
This part of the class leads to the theory and practice of
writing a research paper on the ideas in the selected text.
Steps in this process of transferring ideas to clear and organized
written expression will be given in class where they can be
discussed regarding their application. A one-semester course.
Required Texts: Strunk
& White: The Elements of Style. (The text students
write about will be selected after discussion in class.)
Suggested Age: 16 - 18

Estimated Workload: Half hour to an hour
a day.
High School course credit: one half-year
credit for English, Language Arts, or Composition.
