Middle School English Literature II

Description: An extension of Middle School English I. By surveying several key works, this class will extend the student's ability to evaluate literature as they progress into the dialectic stage. This class will also provide an increased appreciation of the fine arts through the study of the classics. The first semester of a two-semester course.
Recommended Age: Grades 7-8
Content Covered: Beowulf, Everyman (available on the course-page as a free PDF), Sir Gawain & the Green Knight, The Canterbury Tales, King Henry V, Twelfth Night, and The Middle Ages by Dorothy Mills. The price of the textbooks is not included in the price of the course, and we ask that for this course you please purchase only these editions. This maintains greater continuity as students read through and discuss the same material. The required editions of The Canterbury Tales and The Middle Ages are available by calling 877-862-1097.
