Traditional Formal Logic is a course on how we form ideas,
judgments, and arguments and how we express them, with an
emphasis on the on the structure of reasoning. Based on Martin
Cothran's Traditional Logic: Book I. A one-semester
course.
Suggested Age: Grades 7 and up.

Logic, by Martin Cothran. Traditional
Logic I DVD. (not included in price of course)
Content Covered: Definition of key logical
terms, the three steps in the knowledge process, the square
of opposition, the three kinds of equivalent statements, and
the seven basic rules for validity of categorical arguments,
with an emphasis on the simple syllogism.
Class Time: Tuesday, 4:15 p.m. EST,
Friday, 3:00p.m., or Friday, 4:15p.m. (Fall)

I is worth approximately 1/2 year high school course credit
(logic, language arts, or philosophy). If taken together with
Traditional
Logic II, the student would earn a full year high school
