Description: Classical Studies II begins with the ancient world broadly, covering the Egyptians, Mesopotamians, Hittites, etc. It focuses in on the ancient Greeks, detailing their history, culture, and geography. The second half of the course entails a detailed reading and study of Homer's Iliad and Odyssey. Students will have regular quizzes based on the readings and the Homer study guide in the spring. Mr. Musick brings his first hand knowledge of modern Greece, Turkey, and Egypt to bear on this study of the ancients.
