    About Us

Memoria Press is a family-run publishing company that produces simple and easy to use classical Christian education materials for home and private schools. It was founded by Cheryl Lowe in 1994 to help promote and transmit the classical heritage of the Christian West through an emphasis on the liberal arts and the great works of the Western tradition. Memoria Press has developed a K-12 classical curriculum at The Highlands Latin School in Louisville, Kentucky, where our popular Latin, logic, and classical studies courses are developed, taught, and discussed in a live classroom setting.

The Highlands Latin School is in the top 1% of schools nationally for 3-year ITBS scores, and has the highest 3-year average SAT and ACT scores in Louisville, KY. Also, 30% of our graduates are recongized as National Merit Semifinalists, and 40% of graduates are accepted to the Governor's Scholars program. Last, but not least, out of 1,211 students taking the National Latin Exam in Kentucky, Highlands Latin students were only 10% of the test takers but received 88% of the perfect scores and 37% of the gold medals in the state. Highlands Latin School is a model of excellence in classical education, and recent graduates have been accepted into universities such as Notre Dame, The Naval Academy, Vanderbilt, Boston College, Calvin College, Darthmouth, Hillsdale, and Hanover.

The Memoria Press Online Classical Acadmemy is an extension of Memoria Press and HLS. We are an online, private, classical, Christian school, and have provided high quality instruction in Latin, logic, classical studies, literature, as well as history and mathematics since 2006. Our success is directly related to our teachers, most of whom are instructors at The Highlands Latin School in Louisville, KY. Along with our instructors, our solid, classically based curriculum will guarantee that your student receives breadth and depth in their studies. And with our flexible scheduling and live format, there are courses for just about anyone. If you have questions, please email us at help@memoriapress.com

The online classical academy's faith statement centers on the fundamental beliefs of the historic Christian tradition, which are well-summarized in the ecumenical creeds of Christianity, most straightforwardly in the Apostles' Creed and the Nicene Creed. Which are two of the most ancient and widely accepted expressions of the essential beliefs of the Christian faith. These are the beliefs to which our staff members are expected to adhere and which online families can expect to be assumed, freely articulated, and defended by our instructors. We do not require that students explicitly adhere to these same statements, but we do expect them to at least understand and respect these beliefs when articulated and expressed in classroom instruction.
