Welcome to Memoria Press's Online Classical Academy. The Online Academy is designed primarily for home school families interested in a classical Christian liberal arts education. Founded in 2006, the Online Academy offers classes in the following subject areas:

Your student will meet once a week for 1 1/2 to 2 1/2 hours in "class": either a text chat or an audio/text chat with their instructor, who asks questions about the material studied the previous week, drills the student individually on relevant course material, and conducts competitions among students to test their knowledge of facts and ability to apply important skills.

After completing weekly self-instructive course assignments, your student takes one or more weekly quizzes over that week's material with our easy-to-use learning software. As soon as the student completes each quiz, the grade is automatically logged to a student gradebook that you and your student can access at any time. Based on the principle of mastery learning, our system allows your student to take the tests as many times as needed to understand the material. The software flags the student's errors and requires them to be corrected, helping your student to learn from his mistakes.

If, during the week, your student has a question or needs assistance, the instructor is available through the course question and discussion forum, by e-mail, and during weekly office hours.
