Do the LCI and LCII Latin Grammar charts work the same for First Form Latin? How about Second Form Latin and beyond? Do they cover the same stuff as will be in the Form Latin series? I am skipping LCII to go on to First Form, so just wondered.

Vik,
The grammar charts have the noun declensions, and they have 4 verb conjugations in 3 tenses, but First Form teaches 2 conjugations in 6 tenses, so these charts are not a perfect fit for First Form. We do have grammar charts in the First Form books, but if you are looking for something to hang on the wall, I don't have charts that fit First Form right now. But even without the perfect wall charts, you are making the right decision to move from LCI to FF! Tanya Charlton |

Thanks! -- no, I actually don't really like such huge charts and I never put them on the walls; I just really like having that kind of information at my fingertips and all in one place, is all. Having them in the book is even better. What I'd especially like is all conjugations, all declensions, in all cases and tenses, etc. in one place, like a book. I don't think such an animal exists.

Vik,
I actually have that book, but Cheryl Lowe wants to make some changes to it before we publish. Let me find out how close we are to that, and I'll let you know. Tanya |

Vik,
I have looked at our Latin Grammar book, and it is 57 pages of noun, verb, and adjective charts, as well as basic explanations and blank charts that can be reproduced for students to fill in. This book has more information than students need for First Form. It is a supplement that will be used through your complete Latin grammar. I can sell an in-house printed version to you for $14.95. If you wish to purchase it, you will have to call us because it is not on our website for sale. But I'll be glad for you to have it and am happy to print it for you. Regards, Tanya tanya@memoriapress.com |

Thank you! I'll call in as soon as I get my mom moved to her new home and get this book. I want to use it through all the latin grammar -- I wouldn't torture my kids by making them memorize the whole thing with First Form, ha. I myself want to see the 'big picture' in all the grammar, so that was part of wanting it.
Thanks so much~ Vikki |
