I have seen the sample content in the Cursive Copy Book and the Primary Copy Book Set (manuscript). I wondered if any consideration has been given to printing the Primary Copy Book Set in cursive? The reason I ask is that our Kindergarten-aged children are not learning Latin, yet we have taught them cursive penmanship. The content in the Primary Copy Book Set seems a perfect fit for our homeschooling family.

I don't anticipate that we will put our copybooks in cursive because we now have the New American Cursive series. NAC2 has two versions - one with scripture and one with quotes by famous Americans. It begins with a review of the letter strokes and then moves into independent writing and copy work. Ms. Hatfield is currently writing a 3rd book that will be a continuation and take the copy work one step further. NAC is intended for use by students in K-2nd grades, which is the approach you have taken.
Of course, you could do Prima Latina in 2nd grade and then the Copybook Cursive would reinforce the Latin and the cursive in a couple of years! Regards, Tanya |
