I have a 12 year old son who hasn't really done any latin. I want to sign him up for the Latin classes in the Fall. Would I start him in Henle 1, or does he need Latina Christiana first?
Thanks, Shalynn |

Shalynn,
I would definitely begin with Latina Christiana I if you are looking for an online class. Your best option for a 12 year old would really be our new First Form curriculum, but I'm not sure if we are going to offer it as an online class yet. It is a more comprehensive course aimed at older students. I will get back to you if we do indeed offer a First Form online class. But, in the meantime, I would not begin with the Henle because it is intimidating if one has no Latin background. There is plenty of time for the Henle after your son has completed a good introductory course in Latin. Tanya |
