Traditional Logic II, Chapter 7 question
I have a question regarding the Case Study for Chapter 7 in TLII, entitled "Plato: The Power of Love." In the Answer Key for TLII, it states at the end of the key for Chapter 7 (p. 18 of the key), "For answers to Chapter 7 Case Study, see p. 34." I checked on p. 34, both the text and the answer key, and could not find the answers. Am I missing something?
This brings up another question: do you recommend doing all of the writing assignments in TLII, i.e., each weekly analysis assignment and each case study? If this is the case, how long do the students at Highlands Latin School take to complete TLII? How much class time is scheduled per week? How do you grade these assignments?
Finally, thanks to Martin Cothran for publishing this excellent series. The writing assignments, although difficult at times, really help bring a practical application to the study of logic. One of the goals of any logic program should be to help students discern the validity and soundness of arguments presented in the media, in higher education, etc. This program is a tremendous aid to that goal. Thank you for writing such a practical program!
