Is there a sample for the Poetry for Grammar Stage book?

I just ordered the complete fourth grade package. I see that the Poetry book is listed under the Individual Items To Purchase. Is it included in the package? Is it scheduled in the lesson plans?

Also, is the Peterson Guide to Insects included? It's listed under the Insects package, which is what we study for science, correct?

The poetry book is included in the third grade package--for students hopping on in fourth and fifth grades, it must be purchased separately.
Yes, the Peterson guide is included in the fourth grade package.

Thanks Paul...I have another question...Is the poetry included in the 5th grade lesson plans?...I will have a 3rd grader next year, and I am trying to see if I should hold off on it and teach both boys together if it is only included in the 3rd grade lesson plans...

Hello.

The poetry isn't included in the 5th grade lesson plans yet because the poetry guide is only complete for 3rd-4th grades. We have it on our list this summer to complete the poetry for 5th-6th grades. Then, when you get the poetry book in 3rd grade, you will use the same book through 6th grade. The poems are studied in the poetry guide as they come up in our literature guides. For example, when the students read Farmer Boy, they memorize The Happy Farmer and do the lesson on that poem in the poetry guide.

So it would be fine to order the 5th grade package in June, then wait until the poetry is complete to order the guides for the 5th grade level?

Sure. But if you want to get the poetry now, you know we will always replace it with our final version once it is complete.
