In lesson 17, the Practical Latin word is "Repetite" meaning 'repeat', (pl.).
On the pronunciation CD, the speaker says "ray-pay-tay" (roughly ). Is this a misprint? A mispronunciation? Or some as yet unknown rule? Thanks so much!

I apologize for the confusion. You are right that our book uses plural 'repetite,' but on the cd, we say 'repete,' which is singular for 'repeat.' You would use 'repete' for one student and 'repetite' when speaking to more than one student.
We should have been consistent in our treatment of this word, and we will correct it on our cd. Thank you for bringing it to our attention. Cheers, Tanya |
