Default recitations if you are doing a different history?

My 4th grader wanted to study Middle Ages because we'd done a little Roman history last year (nothing compared to what MP expects though!). So, we ordered the 4th grade set and just switched out the history. Now that I've gotten a glimpse of the 4th grade recitation, I realize that it is full of Roman history. I'm admitting I just had no idea what "recitations" were! Now I'm wondering if I should either switch back to Romans (she will be sad bc we were really both excited to do something new) so that it will fit with her recitations. OR, order the 5th grade plans to get the Middle Ages recitations. I just should have known how AWESOME MP is that they would have everything fit so perfectly for each year.
Thanks for any suggestions!
Mollie

Mollie, you ask a lot of questions but that is okay because I have the same ones and just follow along to get your answers, hahahah

We got FM of Rome for History (4th grade) but my 4th grader really wants to do Greek with his sister (6th grade) so we are doing FM Greece together first...but are lucky to have the 6th plan/guide and all the recitations listed therein. I know what you mean, if I had known how well laid out the plans/guides are I might have ordered differently.

I think you could wing it myself but on the other hand I imagine the 5th grade plans/guide book isn't very expensive and you will need it next year anyway!
Blessings,
Catherine

Actually, we don't have a 5th grade recitation yet, and I'm not sure when that is coming!
