Default 3rd Form Latin Workbook Lesson 1 Part III

p 8 jubeo is listed as a 1 instead of being blank
p 9 the irregular parts of respondeo (respondi and responsus) are not printed

My student argued that datus, status, tenui, and valui are regular, although dedi, steti, tentus are irregular and therefore the first set of forms need not be written, a savings of 21 letters I am sure your inclusion of those forms was deliberate

impother,

Thank you for cathing those typos.

As for the forms, the student in me understands where your students are coming from, but you are right. There is a reason the forms are included. When we say a verb has regular principal parts, we mean that they follow the regular pattern. The words in the first set are regular, but those in the second are not (valeo's irregular "form" is that it lacks a 4th principal part). Because they do not have a regular pattern, the verbs are irregular pattern and all forms should be written out so students thoroughly master the verbs. I hope this gives you something you can share with your students on why they need to write those 21 letters.
