Hi -- I am new here and have thousand of questions. What the are "the Book of..."books and do they have weekly assignments? Is there a study guide? Is this a "core" book for history? What, if they exist, do the study guides include?

You can click on sample pages from the main "core" book (text), study guide (student text), and teacher's manual. We are using "book of the ancient world" this year and it has provided rich content to learn from. We study 1 lesson per week. There are 28 lessons, plus 6 review lessons, which takes 34 weeks (one school year). After reading the chapter in the text, the student studies vocabulary, map work, famous quotations, and comprehension questions to reinforce what he/she learned about the historical period.
