Default Copy books for first grade class

Not sure if this is the best place for this question, but I'll start here...

Thought I was homeschooling next year, but God had other plans. I'll be teaching first grade at a small classical Christian school. My class will have 6 to 8 kids. I'm interested in incorporating copywork for the first graders writing and I'm interested the copy book for first grade. I see copy book II listed for first grade there are about 35 lessons. Do you stretch it out over the academic year, maybe one per week?

I'm guessing other classical Christian schools use MP materials. Do they buy a copywork book per child or do you sell a license for copying the books?

Thank you for any help.

I cannot help with the purchasing questions but I can tell you it is one page per week.

Hello.

We do take the entire year to get through Copybook II in 1st grade. If you look at the instructions in the front of the Copybooks, you'll see that it isn't merely writing out a verse. We begin with a Bible story the first day, put the verse on the board and talk about it (meaning, words you don't know, punctuation, etc.), memorize it, copy it, proof and correct it, and finally, recite it! Our students also begin cursive in 1st grade with New American Cursive, so they are doing all of their work in manuscript while learning cursive letters and connections. In 2nd grade, they are ready to do all of their written work in cursive.

Regards,

Tanya
