We struggled through Fable and got halfway through Narrative when I decided to change. I hate to give up on a program, but I just found this one so frustrating. It's not very homeschool mom/teacher friendly IMO. I was looking for more help than what the Teacher's Manual gave me. This year we're going to use EIW's history based writing lessons.

thanks so much for your reply. i am currently reading D'Angelo's Composition in the Classical Tradition as someone suggested that this might be useful for someone using Selby's Classical Composition. we'll see. i am also using IEW this upcoming school year: TWSS and SWI level A for my dd9. i would like to supplement, or do every other assignment with Selby if that is even workable. first i will read D'Angelo's work to get a feel for the progym in general. i've never even heard of it until this year. i don't want to use CW because it has alot of other parts of LA added in as well. at this point i don't need that.
