I am ready to give the cumulative grammar test at the end of the first Henle study guide. Does anyone know what is meant by the term finite verb?
Thanks,
Rebecca

Rebecca,

A finite verb is any verb that is limited by person and number. There are verb forms, such as the participle, that are not limited in this way and are therefore not considered finite verbs.

"fee'-nees oh-ree'-jee-nay pen'-deet" I put in the apostrophe to indicate which syllable is accented.
