View Full Version : Question regarding FF/audio

I have finally begun FF with my daughter. We completed the initial lesson on pronuciation today. When we came to the end of the workbook exercises; it requested that we listen to a list of Latin words and refer to the audio for correct pronuciation.

My question is "Where is the audio that we are to listen to?" Is this on the audio CD somewhere? Any help on this would be appreciated. Thank you.

I would assume that it's talking about the audio CD. We have just started First Form this year too. I skipped the lesson on pronunciation since we had already completed Prima Latina and Latina Christiana I, so I don't know if it's referring to something else. What we do is on Monday we listen to the CD for the lesson of the week to make sure we're pronouncing each word correctly. Then we don't need it again for the rest of the week, unless there's something we forgot how to pronounce.

This is a pretty big mistake you caught. I just listened to the pronunciation lesson on the cd, and we obviously left this word list off. I am going to get Glen to tape it, and we'll put it up on our website for you to download. Give us a week or so.

Glen is here taping this today. Give me a couple more days to get it edited and put up. Sorry for the delay! It is difficult to get him over here once the school year has begun. He is teaching.

We have just uploaded the pronunciation lesson exercise on the First Form page of our website. The link is:

The audio file is at the bottom of the page under 'Corrections.' This is the exercise at the end of the Pronunciation lesson in the First Form workbook.

We apologize for our oversight in not putting this on our pronunciation cd.
