I am planning on purchasing this set...will I need to also order the student guides for FMR and GM? Or does the TM for ICS include worksheets for these books?
Thanks
Karla

Karla,

The teacher guide does have questions for FMR, Greek Myths, and the Bible. The work will have to be done on separate paper, unlike our study guides, but the Intro. to Classical Studies guide is intended to stand alone.

Thanks,
Tanya

Would you use Biblical Studies with ICS or would that be overkill?

Hello.

There are some Bible questions in the Intro. to CS study guide, but if you want a more complete Bible study, it wouldn't be a bad idea to work through our CS study guides at the same time. The Intro. to CS guide does have Bible memory verses for each week, but the majority of questions apply to Roman history and mythology.

If I were going to add anything to it, I'd add the Christian Studies guides. But you could just focus on reading the Bible passages now, and then pick up the Christian Studies guides for the next three years for a more thorough study.

I would do the same thing with Greek mythology. When your children are preparing to read the Iliad and Odyssey, I'd do the Greek Myths study guide as a review of the mythology while reading The Trojan War by Olivia Coolidge. This makes for a great year before tackling Homer.

I hope this is helpful.

Tanya
