Hello, I am seriously considering purchasing the New American Cursive for my (advanced) kindergartner. I am curious about how many lessons are in the book? Do you take one lesson a week, or one lesson a day? Some additional info on your website about this would be helpful! :-)

Thanks for your inquiry about New American Cursive.
Since your child is advanced you are making the right decision to start cursive early. The goal of the NAC Penmanship Program is to teach children to write legibly, fluidly and automatically so the memory is free to relax and compose.
There are 40 Lessons in NAC Book I. Each letter of the alphabet has an instruction page–how to form the letter, a practice page–tracing and practicing letters and a play page–free space for artwork to develop fine motor skills. There are also review and practice pages and reproducible test pages. It is set up for one lesson a day. Keep your lessons short, no more than 10 to 15 minutes a day. You can adapt the time and length of the lesson to fit your child. A teaching guide is included in each NAC book
Also available is a Startwrite/NAC worksheet software CD that compliments the New American Cursive Penmanship Program. It allows you to create extra worksheets for letters that may need more practice, to make worksheets for writing his/her name in cursive, writing memory verses that they can trace and many more applications that you can adapt to your curriculum. The Startwrite/NAC software is available at www.NewAmericanCursive.com
