I plan on doing Traditional Logic I, II following with Material Logic I (and hopefully in the future II). Would you recommend covering a modern logic course with truth tables and mathematical formulations as well? What would you recommend? I would like my child to be able to take the CLEP Logic as well in high school. Thanks for any input.

Amy,
A modern Logic course is fine, but it is not a part of the Trivium because it is a math course, not a language arts course. It is less useful for real life arguments (I would suggest that Rhetoric would be a good course to follow up Material Logic). The best use of a modern Logic course would be as a preparation for a computer programming study. I really don't know anything about the CLEP Logic test, so I can't advise you there.
