I have a 4th grader that I would like to begin Christian Studies with. I also have two 1st graders that I would like to have listen to the stories. Would the copybooks be a good thing for them to do while they listen or while my 4th grader does the activity book? And if so, what grade of copybook should I buy? Do they have different verses and things to copy?
Thanks in advance!

I have used the copybooks and have just bought Christian Studies I to use next year. I think your idea would work fine. The copybooks have a lesson plan attached to them, if you want to use it, but you don't have to. The actual copying doesn't take a lot of brain work, so I think they could listen just fine while they worked, as long as they didn't listen so closely that they got sloppy in their writing. I personally think the second book would be a good start, which is intended for 1st grade. The first one is geared to K, and the third one is for 2nd grade. The differences between them all, however, isn't big. If you think your child needs remedial help, getting the first one certainly wouldn't make him feel dumbed down, I don't think.
