My 9 year old daughter loves Prima Latina, especially the songs. Where would I find the latin words and translations for these? Thanks for your help.

Have you checked toward the back of your daughter's Prima Latina workbook?

I have looked in the back of the student workbook as well as the teacher book - I just don't see the songs.

What are the names of the songs? Perhaps I could find some links giving the texts and translations.

manual too but it is not in there either!! In the students books it says to translate the "Christus Vincit" song but how is my son supposed to know how to translate it if he's never heard or learned any of the words yet??? I checked in the back of the book plus looked in my teachers manual but there is nothing!! In fact, that is a big problem for me! Some of the answers to questions are NOT in fact in the teachers manual! How can we know the answers if we've never had Latin before??? UGH!! We had the same problem with the "Dona Nobis" song but I had a friend who knew the translation and told us but I was embarrassed at having to ask her when it should be in the teachers manual!!!

I don't have Prima Latina, so I couldn't help until I knew the names of the songs. Now that sjeanine has given the names of two songs, I can provide translations.
Dona Nobis Pacem
Grant us peace.
Christus Vincit
Christ conquers.
Christus Regnat
Christ reigns.
Christus Imperat
Christ rules.

Well, thanks anyway. I really, really appreciate the help! It's nice to know what you're singing too! lol

That doesn't help you much, I know, unless you have different children doing both levels (that's what I had last year).
Maybe they can be included in Prima when it's revised, or it could be linked on this site for those who don't have children in LC1 yet.

The Latin songs are translated in the student books in each Review Lesson. There is a little box on the page that says Latin Song. Christus Vincit, for example is in Review Lesson 2, page 50. (Prima Latina. second edition.)
Hope this is helpful!
