Prima or Level 1?

:confused: Hi,

We are thinking of switching to this system from Latin's Not So Tough. I think my son would enjoy a lot of the memory work. He will be 10 when we switch but in 3rd grade. Would it be ok to start him in LC1 or do we need to start at Prima?

It sounds as though you could go right into LC1, especially since your son has had exposure to Latin before. Prima contains everything that LC1 has, with LC1 having more vocabulary and more complex grammar. My first grade son just finished Prima and will move on to LC1 for the next school year.
All the MP Latin programs are extremely user-friendly and very well explained, so I don't think you'd have any trouble with the switch over.
