Masculine/Feminine/Neuter

Hello,

We are working on LCI and so far we have covered 10 lessons. We have seen 1st and 2nd Declensions and I noticed that the 2nd declension chart says 2nd declension masculine but the 1st does not use any name. What's the difference? I speak Spanish and I know about masculine and feminine nouns but I don't know if it's the same in Latin. Any clarification would be greatly appreciated.

Most first declension nouns are feminine. There are some first declension masculine nouns as well - nauta, for example.
