When will Andrew Campbell's new edition of LCC and his new memory book come out? This spring? Summer? I hope it's soon, as I'm already anxious to start planning next year!
Thanks!

I don't have an exact publication date, but I received the final proofs of LCC2 yesterday. They should be back in the designer's hands by early next week. :)

YIPPEE!!!!!:D
Will the memory book come out at the same time and is Memoria Press publishing it?
Any info about the memory book that you can share? Can you mention a few items that we'll find in there? How long is it? What age group is it for? Is this like The Harp and Laurel Wreath for LCC people?

Yes, they are publishing it, but not at the same time. Since people are already planning for the fall, LCC2 takes priority. I'm not sure what the projected date is for it, though, so I'll let one of the MP folks answer that.

It's a K-12 resource, keyed to the LCC subjects, and includes selections in Latin and Greek (Koine, Attic, and Homeric) as well as English. There are lots of English poems and speeches, more than 60 hymns and carols, copious Bible memory material (again, in all three languages), folk songs, geography facts, science lists, grammar definitions...it's a big book! It's meant to be a complete memory work resource for LCC families. :)

I didn't even know this was in the works, and only just found out that there is a second edition to LCC on the way.
I am so excited about this resource!

Drew,
Your memory book sounds perfect!! I can't wait until it comes out! I hope it will be published with LCC 2 or close on its heels!
Any other books in the works right now?

Kristin,
No more books at the moment. I need a breather!

I hope the book still recommends Singapore math. I switched over from Saxon to Singapore and it sure is a superior program. I don't know why so many classical schools use Saxon--I don't see that Saxon is any better than what every other school uses.

I am so excited about your memory book coming out! I was just commenting today on how ragged my Harp and Laurel Wreath was looking and that I guessed that I would have to get a new one. Looks like I will just wait for yours!! BTW, I love LCC and am ordering the new edition when I place my big order in August! Your book has made it so much easier to plan three seperate grades. Thanks!

Can someone from Memoria Press offer a publication date for those of us awaiting the release of this book?
Thanks.

I read on the Well Trained Mind message board that Andrew Campbell has self-published the memory book. It is available from www.lulu.com and is called Living Memory. I ordered it yesterday, and am looking forward to seeing it! Been waiting a while.

I ordered it, too! It was frustrating to have LCC 2nd edition with all of its references to the memory work book . . . and then to see that its publication was repeatedly delayed. I'm glad Campbell self-published through Lulu so home educators can benefit sooner from this book!
I hope MP's First Form Latin doesn't keep getting pushed back and back and back, too. Unfortunately, things seem slow to get out.

Hello, we have just started Latina Christiana I. do I need this book also and what exactly is it? And by the way, is it really true that a separate English grammar course is not necessary?
