I had multiple questions so I find it easier to post each separately...
In Volume 2 Chapter 2 of Traditional Logic, you refer to a mode as the disposition of the *premises* with regards to quantity and quality and when added to the figure there are 64 combos. But it seems to me there are 4 times more than that.
e.g., For mood AA, you could have 1st, 2nd, 3rd, or 4th figure, but you can also have A, I, E, or O for the conclusion for each of the 4 AA combinations. (Not all are valid, of course, because for starters you can never have an E or O after the two AAs...)
When you talk about identifying the mood, it seems to refer to the conclusion as well. With our favorite Socrates is Mortal syllogism, would the mood be defined as AA or AAA?
