I have a question about lesson 12 - Day 3 in Traditional Logic Book 1
All gorgons have snakey hair
Medusa has snakey hair
Therefore, Medusa is a gorgon
I think these are A , A, A staements
The key has the conclusion as followed:
Medusa - distributed
gorgon - distributed
IF the conclusion is an A statement shouldn't gorgon be undistributed
There is another one that has me confused also:
Some merry men live in Sherwood Forest
All archers are merry men
Therefore, some archers live in Sherwood Forest
I think these are I, A, I
The conclusion (assuming it is an I statement) should read:
archers - undistributed
Sherwood Forest - undistributed
The key has archers as distributed
Am I missing something when it comes to distributed/undistributed???
Thanks for any help.
Blessings,
Debi
